Residence Facilities

School of Nursing students may choose to live in a private location of their own choosing or in residence facilities available at Elmira College. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to classes and clinical laboratory practice.

Elmira College residence facilities include double rooms and/or suites as well as formal lounges, kitchenettes, TV rooms and laundry facilities. Each comes equipped with basic furnishings including a bed, dresser, desk and chair.

  • College is located less than one mile south east of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center campus.

Associations

Student Association

Upon admission to the School of Nursing, each student becomes a member of the Student Association. This organization acts as the voice of the student body, enhancing communications among students and the School of Nursing faculty.

National Nurse’s Association

Students are encouraged to join the National Nurses’ Association. Member representatives gain the opportunity to attend meetings and conventions at the district, national and state levels.

Activities

A variety of social and cultural activities are available to students through both school and community resources. Churches of every denomination, a temple and a synagogue are all located convenient to Elmira College and the School of Nursing.
