PUBLIC DISCLOSURE STATEMENT and LICENSURE

Upon completion of the nursing program, graduates of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center School of Nursing must take a state licensing examination in order to practice as a registered nurse. The state licensing examination for registered nurses is the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Any individual who has been convicted of a felony may take the licensing examination but may not receive licensure until the New York State Board of Nursing has reviewed the case.

A member of the National League for Nursing Council of Diploma Programs, the New York State Council of Hospital School of Professional Nursing, and the American Hospital Association Assembly of Hospital Schools.

Associated

Associated with Elmira College, Elmira, New York, founded in 1855. Foundation courses in physical, biological and social sciences as well as in the humanities are taught on the Elmira College campus by college faculty. All School of Nursing students are welcome to use all Elmira College facilities.
